Bank Holiday – Monday 25 August 2025

Announcing the theme for Ledbury Carnival 2025. Following last year’s very successful theme of ‘Going for Gold’, the theme for 2025 will be ‘Wonders of the World’.

So, organisations, groups and families, it’s time to start planning to take part! We also need a bit of help to organise and plan for the day so why not get in touch to find out more. (more…)

Ledbury Carnival is a wonderful day for all the family! Fairground rides, bands, stalls, dance displays, children’s entertainment and, of course, our Carnival Procession.

Everyone is welcome!

Once Upon a Time

Come and Join the Fun!

In August, Ledbury will one again bring youu the best Carnival in Herefordshire. Officially!

Whatever you are planning for August, make sure you leave room in your diary for this magnificent day of fun, music, food, and terrific company – the peole of Ledbury!

Road Closures: Just a reminder for some locals, there will be road closures, so please check our map on the Downloads page, and don’t get caught out. The High Street, Bye Street (as far as Lawnside Road), and The Homend (as far as Bank Crescent), will be closed to traffic from 08:00 to 18:00. Also, and only whilst the Procession is in progress, Ross Road (from the Rugby Club), New Street, The Homend up to Tesco, and Orchard Lane to the Primary School will carry a temporary closure from 12:00 to 14:00, although this will be lifted progressively as soon as the Procession has passed. If you have relatives of friends visiting on that day, and who will need access to your property which is affected, please let them know so they can arrange to arrive outside those times. Of course, they should be arriving earlier so they can join in the fun too!

Car Parks: St. Katherine’s car park will be closed from 08:00, and this site will be used as part of the carnival with stalls and part of the fun-fair, so it would be appreciated if cars are not left parked there from the weekend. The Bye Street car park will also be closed to publc parking. Whillst the Co-Op car park will remain open, it will not be possible to exit or enter whilst the Procession is in progress. Access to the Tesco car park will be restricted whilst the Procession is actually passing the entrance/exit. The Primary School car park will not be available for use on the day as it will be used by the Procession vehicles.

Through Traffic: For through traffic from the M5 (A417), there will be a diversion in place along Leadon Way. Traffic from Malvern (A449) will only be permitted to turn left at the traffic lights at Top Cross. Traffic from Hereford will be advised of road closures, but will still have access to the Station and Tesco.

Our Road Management Team appreciate your cooperation with this so that everyone can enjoy the festivities, and we politely ask you to respect their rôle in our Carnival, and please refrain from abusing either them or their instructions. It is for your own and Carnival participants’ safety.

The Ledbury Carnival Committee would like to thank you all for your support, and hope you all enjoy a wonderful day.
